Description

"Tillicum" is a classic pocket cruiser that is built tough to cruise anywhere! She was re-powered in 2003 with a brand-new Volvo Penta MD2020 29HP diesel engine & transmission and had custom new sails built in 2015 from Carol Hasse & Co in Port Townsend. "Tillicum" has a large interior for such a small boat and features a unique circular settee forward that allows for 6 or more to dine and talk in the cozy salon. A diesel bulkhead cabin heater allows for year-round PNW cruising! Loaded with plenty of spare parts and priced to sell, she even comes with a great Gig Harbor Boatworks...

Captain's Notes

Step aboard and you’ll see why these Cheoy Lee 32s have such a loyal following. The cockpit is deep and secure, with coamings high enough to brace against when the breeze comes up, yet still comfortable for an afternoon at anchor. Side decks are generous for a 32-footer, with solid handholds and stout lifelines that make going forward feel secure in a seaway. Below, the joinery is the kind of solid woodwork you just don’t see in newer production boats, with clever stowage tucked into nearly every corner. The hull’s moderate displacement and skeg-hung rudder strike a reassuring balance between tracking ability and responsiveness on the helm.

Why Offshore 32 in Washington

For sailors who split their time between weekend gunkholing and longer coastal passages, the Offshore 32 is an especially smart choice. The moderate draft lets you sneak into quiet anchorages, while the heavy layup and full-bodied hull inspire confidence when the forecast turns marginal. Ample tankage and efficient systems mean you can stay off the dock longer, and the protected companionway and seakindly motion make those overnight runs far less tiring. Ventilation and heating options work well with the cool, damp shoulder seasons, while the secure cockpit and sturdy rig handle the stronger winds that often accompany changing fronts in this region.
